Founder Catalyst GridAKL launch party

Founder Catalyst™ (FC), New Zealand’s largest and most impactful startup support programme, and GridAKL, Auckland Council’s innovation and coworking community, have joined forces for the benefit of T?maki Makaurau and Aotearoa’s startup ecosystem.

Over the last three years, Ministry of Awesome’s FC programme has been delivered to ambitious founders across the country via a virtual format. Since the programme’s inception in 2020, 300 startups have created over 1000 jobs and raised over $300m in private capital.

For the past decade, GridAKL has supported over 400 startups via their hubs which grow Auckland’s tech, innovation, and entrepreneurial ecosystems by providing coworking, event spaces, and programming to unite founders, operators, and supporters.

This partnership creates a new, shared home base in the heart of Wynyard Quarter. A place for startup founders living in or visiting Auckland to take advantage of the strength of not one, but both of these forces for good: GridAKL John Lysaght.
