Generator operates GridAKL facilities in Mason Brothers and 12 Madden Street Buildings, designed to house small and medium size (SMEs) and larger corporates. Generator is one of New Zealand’s leading boutique co-working and serviced office providers. Generator are experts in providing a range of flexible spaces to suit businesses throughout their lifecycle, in a community environment that supports and nurtures. Generator also offers professional advisory services for businesses, and investment advice to growing companies via Innovation Capital.
GridAKL is an Auckland Council funded initiative. Auckland Council is investing over $30m in the development of GridAKL over 10 years and is a key priority in the city’s Economic Development Strategy.
Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED)
ATEED is the lead agency responsible for the strategic development of GridAKL. This includes responsibility for developing GridAKL facilities and commissioning initiatives that will catalyse the innovation community in Auckland, to stimulate economic growth for the greater Auckland region and the New Zealand innovation community.
Precinct Properties is the owner of GridAKL facilities – 12 Madden Street and Mason Brothers Buildings, and the developer responsible for the physical regeneration of the wider Wynyard Quarter Innovation Precinct.
