CEO Forum: Auckland’s Water Future

March 26 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

**Attendance at this event is by invitation only**

The event is in conjunction with GulfX. This is a major new three-year business engagement programme for the protection and restoration of Tikapa Moana, the Hauraki Gulf. It is supported by Gulf Innovation Fund Together (G.I.F.T) – a Foundation North initiative.

In 2021 the eyes of the world will be focussed on the waters of Tikapa Moana, the Hauraki Gulf, for the America’s Cup and APEC 2021. SBN wants to help ensure we showcase a revitalised Gulf on the way to recovering its lost mauri, its life-giving essence.

GulfX takes a multi-pronged approach. It builds on SBN’s more than 15 years of working with business on sustainability. It embraces the Network’s current work on the low carbon circular economy and riparian planting. It seeks to inspire a deeper connection between business people and the health of our waters.

The Forum will discuss keeping plastic from our harbour waters. It will look at restoring native bush to the region’s waterways. It will also take a wider look at freshwater and marine issues from a business perspective.

We will host Hon David Parker, Minister for Environment and Economic Development who will present the Government’s programme on Auckland’s Water Future, along with presentations from New Zealand businesses. We will workshop solutions relevant to you and your business, in collaboration with other senior business leaders.

Further details and full programme to follow.
