Augmented and Mixed Reality Workshop (Imersia)
October 18 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm$250
About this Event
The workshop is for businesses, innovators and marketers as well as technologists to apply augmented reality (AR) as well as mixed reality (MR) within your product.
During the workshop, there will be space to review your own business or idea and how augmented reality (AR) as well as mixed reality (MR) could support it.
This workshop is also for generalists who may have heard about augmented reality (AR) as well as mixed reality (MR) that would like to understand how best to leverage these new mediums to maximum effect before other companies.
It includes some virtual reality (VR), although the main focus is augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) to answer your questions for clarity.
When Dr Roy Davies built his first virtual reality environment to train people with brain injuries, PCs had just started to be sold with colour graphics. In 2001, Dr Roy was one of the first people in the world to obtain a PhD in the usability of virtual reality then subsequently built and ran Scandinavia’s largest VR research lab.
Roy’s work in New Zealand as an augmented reality advisor and now service business owner (Imersia), has given Roy insights into the actual realities for AR/MR from a commercial viewpoint.
So your company and organisation will come away from this workshop with insight as to whether augmentative reality and mixed reality have an application for your product.
There will be an unique blend of academic know-how and practical commercialism to provide awareness, which also helps with decisions for whether AR/MR has a place in your business and organisation. Roy will cover case studies from home and abroad as well as also review the future for technologies so your company can stay ahead of the curve.
Like any tool, AR/MR won’t solve every challenge despite what some media and other people may say. Your business will learn when and how AR/MR could be best utilised, how much it could cost as well as what skills are necessary to realise the entire technology solution for return on investment.
This is one workshop your team doesn’t want to miss for certain.
